Today marked the beginning of the Emmy saga as the nominations for each category came out. As the list of nominations aired it made me think of my all time favorite show NBC's The Office. If you haven't seen this show you need to start hating yourself, cause it's the funniest show ever. I live for Must See TV Thursday so that I can find out what's going on at the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin (it's true ask my family).As much as I love the show, this post is not about that, it's about funny man Steve Carell. He plays the boss of the Scranton branch, Michael Scott. Playing this role has earned him his fourth nomination as Lead Actor in a Comedy series. As I thought about his nomination, I thought why not write what makes Steve Carell someone that we love.
First things first Steve Carell was hilarious in 40 Year Old Virgin, I have never laughed so hard at a movie. Then was his role alongside Will Ferrell in Anchor Man, the street fight that they had with the other anchor men was crazy funny. Next, I have to mention Michael Scott. He is the craziest boss that you have ever seen in your entire life, and you have to admire the way that he always stays in character.
So while everyone gets ready for the Emmy Awards to take place, I'm going for Steve Carell. The funny man that we love.
