In support of World AIDS Day and her charity Keep a Child Alive, singer Alicia Keyes performed to raise money in Manhattan on Tuesday. The concert was said to be an experience as Keyes performed new songs along with some of her singles from past albums. Rapper Jay-Z also joined Keyes onstage performing their song "Empire State of Mind (Part II)" as the finale of the show.The concert was somewhat of a prelude to Keyes upcoming album "The Element of Freedom" which is due to be released December 15. Many of the songs that she performed were about overcoming situations dealing with relationships and breakups. It has been reported that Keyes performed a majority of the songs on her upcoming album.
Keyes Keep a Child Alive organization works to help children along with families who are dealing with HIV/AIDS get the treatment and help they need. Keep a Child Alive mostly deals with those who are affected in Africa and India. To learn more visit www.keepachildalive.org
