A Little Carey?

'Baby' seem to be a common word around Hollywood this year as yet another couple plans for the future. The new host of America's Got Talent, Nick Cannon, talked about what the future holds for him and his wife singer Mariah Carey. So does that mean there will be some little Carey's on the way?

According to Cannon, who recently did an interview with MTV News, having kids is in the plans for the young couple. However, they are not going to be having them anytime soon. Due to both of their schedules, they have decided to wait on family plans.

"We're getting things together. So as soon as our schedules calm down, that's where our focus will go," Cannon said in the interview.

Cannon and Carey recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary in Las Vegas. Now the couple is busy working on their own careers. NBC's show America's Got Talent has already started their new season which is taking up Cannon's time. While Carey recently released her single "Obsessed" which was written and produced by The Dream, Tricky Stewart, and Carey. Her new album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angels will be released on August 25th.

Even though they will not be having kids right now, Cannon already has goals set for the kind of father he wants to be. In an interview that he did with People Magazine yesterday Cannon spoke about the ideas on fatherhood.

"I want to be a father that's all about love," said Cannon. He continued with saying, "I will probably be the fun dad because I'm silly, I'm always trying to have a good time and always doing funny and stupid stuff."

When asked if he would like for his future kids to be in the music or acting business, Cannon said that he would support his children in whatever they do. For him as a father, he wants his children to be happy.

"I would love it, but I'm not going to be one of those stage daddies where its like, 'Get out there and sing!'" he said. "I won't be that kind of dad. I want them to do whatever they love and if they love, that will definitely, make me happy."

With the baby plans on hold for now, those that are wondering when we will hear little patters of feet don't need not to worry. Cannon told People Magazine that he and his wife have plan set for when they will be starting a family.

"We had our first year and enjoyed it. This year for us is about establishing everything and creating a household," he says. "So when we do welcome a child, it will be in a very comfortable established home. So we are working on that and once this year calms down, then we'll probably start taking about it more seriously. That's a priority, and it's not just a quick decision."
