The news is officially out; Jennifer Hudson is having a baby. As I stated in a past post there were rumors that the star was pregnant, but she denied that it was true. In yesterdays Chicago Tribune, Hudson's close friend Felicia Fields told the paper that the star is indeed pregnant and about her weekend baby shower.
Fields told the paper, "It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family. They are really trying to keep it mostly quiet."
At the party Fields said that Hudson received mostly yellow gifts since the gender of the baby was unknown to the guest. The couple has chosen to keep the sex of the baby private as well. Another secret that they are keeping is when the baby is due. When Field’s was asked when the baby was due she was not willing to talk about it.
The baby shower took place at a relative’s home in Hudson's hometown of Chicago. This will be Hudson's first child with her fiancé David Otunga, who is an ex-reality star. Otunga is now pursuing a career as a pro wrestler. The couple has set a date for their wedding, but has chosen to keep the date private.
Hudson has wrapped up her tour with Robin Thicke, which she had to leave after for a while after her throat condition. Since the end of her tour she has been laying low to avoid baby news.
According to the Chicago Tribune Hudson is about seven months into her pregnancy. However, how far along Hudson has not been confirmed. Aside from all the news I want to congratulate Hudson on her pregnancy and motherhood.
